BRC CONTINUES ITS EFFORTS TO ENCOURAGE THE PUBLIC TO VACCINATE AGAINST COVID 19

The Campaign
The initiative of the Bulgarian Red Cross - "You decide" is part of the complex program "Activities in response to COVID-19" and aims to limit the spread of COVID-19 in Bulgaria and support the communities most affected by the virus, while expanding vaccination coverage in the country. The campaign fully respects the right of every person to inform themselves and make the important decision whether to get vaccinated or not, by only providing reliable, verified and scientifically proven information regarding the virus and its consequences, also providing the opportunity to be immunized, through its 5 mobile vaccination points that are located in different parts of the country.
The "You Decide" initiative is implemented with the support of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Embassy of the United States of America.
Campaign achievements
5 mobile vaccination points of the BRC travel the whole country, providing reliable information and the possibility for vaccination.
More than 48,500 hygiene packages were provided to large families and disadvantaged people in order to limit the spread of COVID-19 and other diseases.
In partnership with the National Network of Health Mediators in Bulgaria, more than 2,370 educational sessions were held on various topics, including about the benefits of vaccines and vaccination, prevention of HIV, tuberculosis and good hygiene.
Over 1,500 free psycho-social consultations were conducted by qualified psychologists through the hotline of the BRC Call Center.
